  • Jeremy Siek joins CREST as Faculty Scholar

    Date: 04/25/2014

CREST is happy to welcome its newest Faculty Scholar, Jeremy Siek, Associate Professor of Computer Science in the School of Informatics and Computing.  Prof. Siek joins us after holding a faculty position at the University of Colorado and a post-doctoral position at Rice University.  In fact, we are welcoming Prof. Siek back to IU as he earned his PhD here in 2005.  Prof. Siek’s research interests include programming languages and their application to high-performance computing.  He pioneered the “gradual typing” approach to bridge the gap between static and dynamic typing of programs.  Besides having widespread recognition in the research community, Jeremy’s work has been adopted in commercial settings as well, including in Microsoft’s TypeScript.  Welcome Prof. Siek!
